Description
CLASSIC® Indwelling is a clinician-placed, non-sterile tracheoesophageal voice prosthesis designed to restore speech following total laryngectomy. Its one-way valve allows pulmonary air to enter the oesophagus for clear, fluent voice production while helping to prevent food and liquids from entering the trachea during swallowing. As a result, patients benefit from reliable voice rehabilitation and improved quality of life.
Furthermore, the prosthesis utilises the Blom-Singer® Gel Cap Insertion Method, enabling smooth, atraumatic placement during secondary or replacement tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP) procedures. Manufactured from soft, biocompatible medical-grade silicone, it provides dependable valve performance, patient comfort, and long-term durability for routine clinical use.
