Description
ADVANTAGE® Hard Valve LEF (Large Esophagel Flange) is a clinician-placed indwelling voice prosthesis designed to restore tracheoesophageal speech following total laryngectomy. In addition to providing reliable voice rehabilitation, the prosthesis features a large esophageal flange that helps manage periprosthetic leakage by improving retention and creating a more effective seal around the tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP).
ADVANTAGE® Hard Valve LEF Features:
- Restores tracheoesophageal speech following total laryngectomy.
- Features a large esophageal flange (LEF) to help reduce periprosthetic leakage and improve prosthesis retention.
- Incorporates a hard valve assembly that increases resistance to inadvertent valve opening.
- Helps minimise central leakage and unwanted air ingestion caused by fluctuations in oesophageal pressure.
- Silicone valve contains silver oxide as a material preservative to help reduce biofilm formation.
- Includes a titanium body ring for enhanced durability and radiopacity.
- Utilises the Blom-Singer® Gel Cap Insertion Method to support smooth, atraumatic insertion.
- Designed for clinician placement during secondary or replacement TEP procedures.
- Supplied non-sterile for single-patient use.
Additional Options
- Available in 22.5 Fr diameter.
- Available in 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 14 mm shaft lengths.
