Description
CLASSIC® Increased Resistance is a clinician-placed, non-sterile voice prosthesis designed to restore tracheoesophageal speech following total laryngectomy. Specifically developed for patients who experience intermittent valve opening due to fluctuations in oesophageal pressure, the Increased Resistance (IR) valve opens less easily than a conventional valve. As a result, it helps minimise unwanted air ingestion and leakage through the prosthesis while promoting more consistent voice production.
