Mednom Newborn Phototherapy Eye Bands are designed to shield the eyes from bright therapeutic light used to treat jaundice, reducing the risk of retinal and ocular tissue exposure. Phototherapy eye protection blocks or absorbs this light during treatment. Made of soft breathable fabric with light-blocking padding and secure elastic/adjustable straps that fit gently around the head without damaging sensitive skin.
Compared to generic cloth coverings or improvised patches, classic phototherapy bands are ergonomically shaped and sized, remaining comfortable for prolonged use. Their design reduces slippage and irritation and improves fit across head sizes.
