LOW PRESSURE Increased Resistance Voice Prosthesis is a sterile, patient-changeable tracheoesophageal voice prosthesis designed to restore speech following total laryngectomy. Specifically intended for patients who have been trained by their healthcare professional, it enables independent prosthesis replacement while providing dependable tracheoesophageal voice restoration.
The prosthesis combines a low-pressure valve with increased resistance to inadvertent valve opening, making it an ideal choice for patients who experience intermittent valve opening due to fluctuations in oesophageal pressure. Consequently, it helps reduce unwanted air ingestion and leakage through the prosthesis while maintaining effortless voice production. Furthermore, the prosthesis is manufactured from soft, biocompatible medical-grade silicone and includes an insertion tool to support safe and convenient replacement.
