Mednom was founded by John Mantell over 26 years ago.

Over the last nearly three decades, Mednom built up an impressive portfolio of state of the art medical instruments and supplies. In addition, the company has proven their ability to design and produce more than a handful of products in-house with great commercial success. Naturally their success caught the attention of keen investors and as a result, Mednom was largely bought over by the now new shareholders.

The group is focused on combining their respective strengths in business, design and medical procedure to swiftly expand the company’s current footprint. With a historical strong presence in the Western Cape, Mednom is expanding its distribution network to include KZN, Gauteng and the Eastern Cape. Various loyal International customers from China, Mauritius and across Africa complete the picture.

OUR STRENGTHS

The strength of Mednom’s products are structured around two main pillars. On one end the company offers state of the art high end instruments and supplies to satisfy the niche end of the market. Whilst, on the other end, Mednom offerS products from a budget-value-driven perspective that exist to satisfy cost sensitive customers that often require greater product volume at lower cost.

OUR SERVICES

Mednom offers dedicated sales representatives with a combined medical industry experience of more than 60 years.
 
We further offer in depth on-site product training at no additional cost (some terms & conditions may apply).
 
Mednom’s longstanding presence in the medical industry affords it access to some of the leading specialists in the medical field.  We offer customers expert level advice in cases where patients or surgeons require advanced solutions. Our Allergen Patch Test offering is one example of how customers can contact Mednom for expert advice and guidance relating to patient’s responses to clinical tests.
 
All Mednom staff members are required to have a firm grasp on the clinical application of all products in the range, regardless of their position in the company.
 
All operations and dispatching of orders are managed from our offices in Kenridge, Cape Town and is manned by our competent team of staff.
